As a graduate of the FMCA and a National Board Certified Health and Wellness Coach, supporting others in seeking and sustaining health and wellness is my ultimate endeavor.
As a former teacher and patient, I’ve been inspired to support, motivate, and educate those that are ready for sustainable change. My approach is heart-centered, client led, and science informed with trust in the process and the client. I’ve been in that difficult and vulnerable place of disease in which it’s difficult to believe in healing. With support in finding and implementing strengths, encouragement during the journey, and a Functional Medicine Practioner, recovery became possible.
Beyond my degree from the University of Oregon, I have had a life experience, excellent training with the FMCA, and continuing education. My belief in healing, the human experience, and the Functional Medicine approach have prepared me for this line of work.
Continuing education is important to me as the evolution of medicine unfolds bringing new information and ideas which offer various solutions and opportunities. One of the most valuable courses completed is the Dale Bredesen course on Reversing Cognitive Decline. I have experience working with people challenged by MCI and Alzheimer’s. I have also completed the HeartMath training for the use of biofeedback in achieving heart-brain coherence to create emotional resilience, calm, and physical well- being (mind-body work). My experience includes the area of autoimmune issues including, Hashimoto’s, Multiple Chemical Sensitivity (MCS), as well as gut issues and food sensitivities. Clients I’ve worked with come from various backgrounds and stages of change.
