My personal journey and interest into Functional Medicine started when my own health and my mother’s colon cancer in 2004 was presented. Naturally, I became interested to do my own nutritional research, since I had experience in working in the medical field and pharmacy industry. I am a certified pharmacy technician, and also have worked for a well known University Health Care Academic Department as an Administrative secretary for 4 Division Chiefs in Pediatric specialty doctors in Allergy/Immunology, Hematology/Oncology, Infectious Disease and Perinatal Anatomy Biology Department. Here I gained western medicine experience and now I can differ from the practices that Functional medicine can offer.
As office manager for an Integrated Functional Medicine Practitioner, my passion has grown even more to help our patients reach their potential health. I came to my Practitioners clinic when I made an appointment that confirmed my nutritional coaching for my husband. I helped to wean him off his blood pressure medication, showed her my own health progress with managing my Celiac Disease, my agenda for coaching my family and friends. The doctor was very impressed of my knowledge, passion and offered me a job. I am very happy that I am working for her in functional medicine and helping to bring understanding of health to our patients who are starting their own personal health journeys.
I am a Certified Functional Medicine Health Coach that have strengthen my skills to become a greater asset not only to the clients in clinic, but also to confirm my passion and love for Functional Medicine.
