Teri Hires is a National Board Certified Health and Wellness Coach (NBC-HWC) and a Functional Medicine Certified Health Coach (FMCHC) through the prestigious Functional Medicine Coaching Academy. She is also certified on the Bredesen protocol for reversing cognitive decline and additionally is a graduate of the Institute of Integrative Nutrition.
As a coach, Teri’s goals are to support her clients as they transition toward a healthier lifestyle. She also helps them cut through the confusing clutter of web resources regarding food and lifestyle options that might work best for their individual bodies. She believes in the power of food as medicine, the importance of physical movement and the necessity of quiet reflection. Her approach to coaching focuses on the simplicity of taking small steps toward defined goals while making the most of the unique strengths of each client.
Teri’s background has always involved working with people, either in corporate leadership roles or as an executive coach helping people transition through career and leadership challenges. This breadth of experience helps her engage with people from all walks of life. After discovering functional medicine through her own health issues, she now focuses her coaching skills on helping people make smart choices about their total health including food, exercise, sleep, career, and mindfulness.
