Biographical Info

I was an Information Technology executive for many years, working for a Wall Street firm. Like so many people, I worked long hours, had a long commute, and was under constant stress. I loved my job and gave it everything I had until I had nothing left, and just couldn’t do it well any longer. I was in constant, body-wide pain, and couldn’t sleep. I was exhausted and stressed, brittle and burnt out. When I lost my job after the crash of 2008, I decided to refocus my energy towards my own healing
journey. This launched me into my ‘encore career’ as a Health Coach.

I completed the Functional Medicine Coaching Academy’s Health Coach Certification program, graduating in July 2017. In September, I sat for and passed the first nationwide Health Coach Certification exam, overseen by the American Board of Medical Examiner, sponsored by the International Consortium of Health and Wellness Coaches.

I am now one of the mere 1400+ coaches in the United States who can call themselves “National Board Certified-Health and Wellness Coach.”

Prior to FMCA, I attended the Institute for Integrative Nutrition in 2012, and I continued my education in lifestyle medicine through additional programs and self-study.

I recently completed FMCA’s program “Reversing Cogitative Decline”

I named my private practice Crossroads Nutrition because wellness is a journey, not a destination. I think of myself as a lifestyle navigator, like a GPS system who helps clients identify where they are and where they want to go, then charts a course in small actionable steps, incrementally building on positive behavior change. And every journey requires course corrections, so I ensure clients develop the tools needed to continue in spite of the roadblocks and potholes of life.
